Welcome to IPA Dallas
There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
Jesus Christ: God the Son
Jesus Christ is God's Son. He is co-equal with the Father. He is both God and man. He was born of a virgin. He lived a sinless, human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of His people by dying on a cross. He died to become a substitutionary atonement for the sins of His people. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination He enables men to understand truth. He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He calls men to the Saviour, and effects regeneration. At the moment of regeneration He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church. He seals the believer unto the day of final redemption. His presence in the Christian is the guarantee that God will bring the believer into the fullness of the stature of Christ. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.
The Bible: God's Word
The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.
The Scriptures Inspired
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, a revelation from God to man, the product of Holy men who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit, we accept the Bible as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct doctrine (II Peter 1:21. I Timothy 3:15-17).
Man, the Fall and Redemption
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God but through Adam’s sin the whole race fell and became alienated from God, that man’s only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 5:12; 1 John 3:8)
The One True God
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28: 19)
The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His crucifixion, in His resurrection, in His ascension and in His personal future return to this earth (Is 7:14; Heb. 7:26, I Thess. 4:16; the Gospels)
The scripture teaches a life of holiness without which no man shall see God. The entire sanctification is the will of God and should be pursued by all believers by walking, in obedience to God’s word (Heb. 12:14; I pet. 1:15-16).
The Salvation of Man
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to sinful man by grace and received solely by the personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Tit. 3:5; John 3:16-18, Phil. 3:4-9).
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is granted to all believers who ask for it. We further believe this experience is distinct from and follows the new birth and evidenced by speaking in other tongues (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-6, 2:4, 38, 42, 43).
Baptism in water by immersion is a direct commandment of our Lord and is for believers only. This ordinance is a symbol of the believer’s identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection (Matt. 28; 18, 19, Act 2:41; Rom. 6:4, 5)
The Lord’s Supper
The ordinance of the Lord’s Supper is a commandment of our Lord, and is memorial of His death on the cross. It is strictly limited to Christian believers (1 Cor. 11:26).
The Millennial Reign of Christ
After the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ and the re-gathering of the Natural Israel, the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ with his bride will take place on the earth (Rom. 11:25-27; Rev. 19:11-16; 20:1-7).
We believe that Christ’s death on the cross provides healing for the human body, in answer to believing prayer (Is. 53:4-5; Matt 8:16, 17; James 5:14-16).
The Church is the body of Christ, Christ being the Head. Every believer born of the Spirit is a part of the general assembly of the Church (Eph. 1:22-23, 2:22; Heb. 12:23).
The Blessed Hope
We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ, and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord. This is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church (I Thess. 4:16-17; Rom. 8:23; I Cor. 15:51-52).
Final Judgment, the New Heaven and the New Earth
We believe in the great white throne judgement of all, the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire. We according to His promise look for the new heavens and the new earth, wherein dwells righteousness (2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21:22).
We believe a divinely called ministry has been provided by our Lord for two purposes: (1) evangelizing the world, and (2) edifying the body of Christ (Mark 16:15-20; Eph. 4:11-13).
